Nationale Suisse transfers its mortgage portfolio to Raiffeisen

Raiffeisen is to take over the mortgage portfolio of Nationale Suisse. The transaction will be concluded by 31 December 2007.
Nationale Suisse has agreed to allow Raiffeisen to take over its mortgage portfolio consisting of around 1000 agreements with a total value of over CHF 400 million. By transferring its mortgage portfolio, Nationale Suisse aims to focus on its core business of providing insurance solutions. Nationale Suisse has found a competent partner in Raiffeisen which will continue to act in the clients' best interests by providing a trustworthy, specialist mortgage service.
The transaction will be concluded by 31 December 2007. Until then, mortgage clients will continue to enjoy their existing relationship with Nationale Suisse. From 1 January 2008 onwards, mortgage clients will be managed by Raiffeisen and join their client base. Raiffeisen will continue to provide these mortgages under the existing conditions, so there will be no financial repercussions for clients.
Employees of Nationale Suisse working in the mortgage department will be offered an equivalent position at Raiffeisen.
